Vancouver on a Budget!

What does a young wanderlust girl do when she's fighting the urge of traveling and the continuous anorexia her wallet is experiencing? I turn to maybe the greatest invention on earth and yet the most underused resource the traveler has; groupons!

I subscribed to groupon and other coupon sites for the greater Vancouver area about 4 months before our expected leaving date. I collected great deals on food, hotels and activities. Unknowingly our itinerary was being planned for us. To minimize gas prices (which are OBSCENE in Vancouver) I wouldn't buy coupons unless they were in the general area that we were planning on being that day. As two travelers who had never been to the Vancouver area this was a great idea!! We were able to see so much of the city and surrounding areas and also eat REALLY well at lower prices when we otherwise wouldn't have even known about the restaurant or been able to afford it. ALSO, because these coupons are usually used by locals I feel like we got the underground view of the city and not the tourist version. Another way we saved money is by going during Spring when Vancouver isn't seeing its normal tourist season, giving us the opportunity to get awesome deals and avoid the lines.
Unfortunately, I did not keep an ongoing post of our daily activities but will post each of the Groupons we used and experienced so much! This is more of a photo blog of the amazing city that is Vancouver, British Columbia.
This was also my sweetie's first time out of the country! Wahoo!
